Information and messages are stored as long as they are relevant or until the data subject asks for the data to be erased. Primarily, emails are deleted after 6 months from the last received message from the same person.
Principles of register protection
The register can only be accessed by personnel whose work requires it (contact information by members of the support team; anonymised information by the teams working on the projects). The data saved to the register is secured so that only authorised personnel can view or edit it. Access is restricted and can only be achieved with a username and password.
The registry can only be accessed from the company’s internal network or through a secured connection to the company’s servers.
Rights of the data subject
You have the right to check, correct, delete, or restrict the usage of your data.
To file a request, please contact info@frozenbyte.com. All requests must be sufficiently identified, justified, clear, and concern the requester themselves.
In your request please specify:
- What data you want to erase, rectify, or inspect, and what it is linked to (e.g. a job application, playtesting information, or mailing list).
- The justification for the erasure or the changes proposed.
- Your name and contact details (such as your email address or telephone number).
Please note that we do not handle insufficient requests and we cannot erase accounts or data handled by external parties such as Steam or Discord. If the request is unfounded or unreasonable, we have the right to refuse it. We may continue processing your data if we have a lawful basis for doing so. Please note that erasure of your data might lead to you not being able to use our Services anymore.
Right to inspect
You have the right to check your information. If the data includes trade secrets (for example focus-test videos that include unpublished material), it might only be possible to inspect the data at our office.
Correcting information
You have the right to request correction of incorrect information. You may require the controller to correct data if it is considered by you to be misleading, unnecessary, incomplete, or outdated for the purpose of the processing.
Deleting information and restricting or objecting to processing
You can ask for your data to be deleted or limit the usage of your information. Please be aware that we may continue processing your data if we have a lawful basis for doing so, and that erasure of your data might lead to you not being able to use our Services anymore.
Response timeline
We will reply to requests within one month. We may extend the processing period by up to two additional months for complex or numerous requests, and will inform you of any such delay within one month.
