Data content of the register
- Contact details (name, phone number, email address)
- Registration information (usernames, identifiers)
- Demographics (age, gender, native language)
- Technical data (IP addresses, hardware specifications)
- Communication history and visit records
- Recorded videos and interviews from tests
- User preferences and interest data
- Contact blocking information
- Additional data provided with consent
Child protection: We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 13.
Regular sources of information
Data is provided directly by participants when signing up for or taking part in playtests, focus groups, or other events.
Regular conveyance of data and transfer of data outside the EU or European Economic Area
Data remains primarily within EU/EEA borders and company internal systems. Any external transfers (e.g. through Google services) require adequate data protection guarantees in accordance with GDPR.
Retention time
Data is stored as long as it is relevant unless the data subject requests deletion.
Principles of register protection
Access to the register is restricted to authorised personnel only, secured with username and password authentication. The register can only be accessed from the company’s internal network or through a secured connection. Backup systems are maintained by the IT team.
Rights of the data subject
You have the right to request an overview of the personal data we process about you, and to request correction, deletion, or restriction of processing.
To file a request, please contact privacy@frozenbyte.com. All requests must be sufficiently identified, justified, clear, and concern the requester themselves.
In your request please specify:
- What data you want to erase, rectify, or inspect, and what it is linked to (e.g. a focus test or playtest).
- The justification for the erasure or the changes proposed.
- Your name and contact details (such as your email address or telephone number).
Please note that we do not handle insufficient requests and we cannot erase accounts or data handled by external parties such as Steam or Discord. If the request is unfounded or unreasonable, we have the right to refuse it. We may continue processing your data if we have a lawful basis for doing so.
Please note that if the data includes trade secrets (for example focus-test videos containing unpublished material), inspection of personal data may only be possible at our office.
Please be aware that erasure of your data might lead to you not being able to use our Services anymore.
Response timeline
We will reply to requests within one month. We may extend the processing period by up to two additional months for complex or numerous requests, and will inform you of any such delay within one month.
